Fracture, a local glass-print studio featured on the "Today Show," plans to relocate to downtown Gainesville this January.

The new facility will be directly in front of UF's recently built Innovation Hub at 110 SW Sixth St.

Fracture specializes in printing digital photography for photo decor.

Instead of printing photos on glossy- or matte-style paper and framing the photos in a picture frame, Fracture images are printed directly onto a one-piece glass frame.

The goal of the company is to eventually make Fracture images the size of desks, windows and even doors, said Abhi Lokesh, a UF alumnus and Fracture's co-founder and CEO.

The new space will be about 5,300 square feet, according to the website of Front Street, the real estate group that negotiated the lease.

"We're moving because we're scaling up all our new equipment, and our team growth is outpacing the space we have in the current facility," Lokesh said.

The company is currently housed at 1901 NW 67th Place, Suite A, in Gainesville.
