Chomp the Block: Gator fans get ready for the game

Gator fans came together Friday as part of Chomp the Block, an event to celebrate the kickoff of football season in Gainesville. The event, which took place at Celebration Pointe, included live music by the band Fast Lane, food from various local restaurants and food trucks and activities for kids.

The children’s activities included face painting, balloon animals from magician Magic Mike, a bounce house, hula hooping, coloring and a life-sized human foosball game. UF mascots Albert and Alberta were also walking around high fiving Gator fans, dancing along to the live music and posing for pictures. There was also a performance by UF cheerleaders who lead some Gator cheers and posed for photos.
