Florida’s football program gained two commits from the class of 2023 all within one day.
2023 four-star quarterback Marcus Stokes committed to the University of Florida Thursday, followed by running back Treyaun Webb.
Stokes, a Ponte Vedra Beach native announced on Twitter he had flipped his commitment to the Gators after committing to Penn State originally April 9.
The quarterback is entering his senior year at Nease High School, former Florida Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Tim Tebow’s alma mater. He led his team to the regional finals in the Sunshine State’s second-highest classification.
Just minutes after Stokes announced his plans, Webb committed to the Gators.
Webb, a fellow four-star recruit, is No.5 in the nation for his position, according to 247sports. His official visit to Gainesville was June 3.
Florida is one of only three schools Webb visited during his recruitment process. The two other schools, Penn State and South Carolina, were a part of his top five choices.
With the added recruits committed to UF, the orange and blue now sit at 11 commits for the class of 2023.
