Tim Tebow prefers briefs.
The former Florida Heisman winner and Denver Broncos draft pick signed a multi-year contract with Jockey International Inc. on Tuesday.
"Tim is a highly gifted athlete with a positive attitude and an admirable character," said Debra S. Waller, Jockey chairwoman and CEO, in a corporate press release. "We at Jockey see a very bright future with Tim, and believe that he is an excellent representative for the brand."
Tebow's image, sporting a Jockey white T-shirt, already appears on the company's website, announcing the partnership by referring to the athlete as its No.1 draft pick.
"Tim is genuine, smart and driven and those qualities align well with Jockey," Waller continued. "We look forward to building a long and collaborative relationship with him in the coming years."
As spokesman, Tebow will work with several Jockey lines, including the spring Staycool collection. He will appear in the company's catalog, TV and print ads and on the company's website at www.jockey.com.
"I'm excited to represent the Jockey brand and to work with such an innovative company," Tebow said in the release. "I've long been a fan and consumer of Jockey, and think they make a quality product with a great fit. I'm looking forward to a great relationship with such a respectable company."
