Alex Harper's Nov. 19 letter to the editor took issue with the Alligator's "condescending, overly rude stance" regarding the Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity hazing investigation.
If Mr. Harper is upset or ashamed by TEP's bizarre and ludicrous behavior being brought to light, it is because he should be. Instead of whining about the Alligator's supposed anti-Greek agenda and blaming the messenger, perhaps he should take up the matter with the people conducting and condoning such behavior in the first place.
I am appalled that Mr. Harper actually likened the ridicule of TEP pledges found on a basement floor with laxatives and diapers to the burning of American flags after 9/11.
Mr. Harper, no matter how much your feelings were hurt, mocking pledges who were there of their own accord isn't remotely similar to celebrating the massacre of nearly 3,000 of our innocent citizens.
As a proud American, I am both saddened and disgusted you had the audacity to compare the two.
