A local man cut his neighbor in the face with a razor Wednesday afternoon after a disagreement over audio volume.
According to the police report:
Sammy Jaye Proctor, 47, approached the victim’s campsite near Northwest Sixth Street and said to turn his music down.
The victim’s friend, who later witnessed the stabbing, responded, “[Expletive] you,” and Proctor angrily returned to his campsite nearby.
Proctor, a mason, soon became fed up with the noise and confronted his victim, who had left his own camp and was walking down a nearby wooded path.
He sliced the victim across the face with a box cutter, sending the victim falling to the ground then stabbed the victim, causing “great bodily injury” and “disfigurement.”
The victim's condition is unknown.
