I am writing about the proposed increase for motorcycle and scooter parking decals. Guess what? If they raise the price of a scooter decal to the same price as a car decal, I'm going to drive my car to campus!
I am especially frustrated by the bureaucratic tyranny of UF's Transportation and Parking Services, which leaves assistant director Ron Fuller free to blow off concerns about the increase by stating in an article, "We have no happy customers."
So you don't have to even bother paying attention to the concerns of your customers? You are free to take advantage of them? In fact, you care so little that you insult your customers by saying their chosen mode of transportation sits around like "road mosquitoes."
We can argue all day about the benefits and costs of scooters, but in the end, a 230 percent increase is about being taken advantage of by the university. Oh, and Mr. Fuller, I am a very happy customer. I hope it stays that way.
