High fashion from around the world will be presented at the One Night Only fashion show on Friday.
Volunteers for International Student Affairs, also known as VISA, an umbrella organization managing more than 20 international student organizations at UF, will host the show.
It will take place in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom at 7 p.m.
The show is free and open to the public.
Rohe Mascharak, a UF English senior and director of the show, said this year's event will take the audience around the world with fashion from Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia and finally "the one and only" Los Angeles.
Eva Mejicanos, a UF sophomore and assistant director of the show, said she is expecting about 400 people to attend.
There are about 30 models for the show, from various organizations such as Russian Club, Arabic Cultural Association, Indian Student Association, Greek American Students Association, Black Student Union, Club Creole and Hispanic Student Association.
The models will showcase the traditional and modern daytime clothing of the specific regions. The final scene will feature the cultures coming together in an upscale Los Angeles nightclub.
"The U.S. is a melting pot," she said. "It brings people from all around the world together."
For more than 30 years, VISA has celebrated International Month between mid-March and mid-April, Mascharak said. The month includes various events such as a pageant, global potluck, fashion show and talent show.
"The fashion show and all of our events during International Month aim to share a simple message," she said. "Embrace diversity or celebrate differences."
