Just like that, Jeff Dadamo and Tyler Hochwalt are done for the week.

In the first round at the ITA All-American Championships, the No. 22-ranked Gators team was dominated 8-3 by No. 16 Taylor Fogleman and Clay Donato of North Carolina.

For Dadamo and Hochwalt, who were given an automatic bid to the main draw by virtue of their strong national ranking, Thursday's loss marks only the second time they have played this year. They won their first match at the Southern Intercollegiate on Sept. 19 against Stephan Bruwer and Andrey Yesipov of UT-Martin with a score of 8-0.

The Tarheels' duo was clearly a more formidable opponent.

The All-American was the first chance for UF to see how they stacked up against the best in the nation. The tournament is the first leg of the ITA Grand Slam, which culminates with the NCAA Championships at the end of the season.

The Gators will have about a week to regroup and prepare for their next tournament - the ITA Regional Indoor Qualifying in Lexington, Ky., on Oct. 17.
