More than a month after the dust from the Beijing Olympics has settled, we have been alerted to a refreshing ending to one of the Games' most controversial issues.

We're not talking about Michael Phelps' request to run the 100-meter dash against Usain Bolt or the Redeem Team's decision to play a best-of-seven series against the rest of the world at the next Olympics, including players who were cut from Team USA in tryouts.

Admittedly, neither of those things happened, but they might make the 2012 London Olympic Games a bit more interesting.

The issue we're talking about is the ages of the members of the gold-medal-winning Chinese gymnastics team.

On television, a few of those girls, particularly He Kexin, looked like they couldn't be a day over 10 years old.

We were never too concerned with their ages because, hey, if you're that good, you're just that good. However, we would never condone breaking the International Olympic Committee's rules - especially if it would allow the Americans to take over the gold-medal stand.

We're sick of people playing the cheater card every time their guy (or girl, in this case) doesn't win. Well, conspiracy theorists, the Miami Dolphins beat down the New England Patriots two weeks ago, so why haven't we heard anything about Ronnie Brown being on the juice?

Sometimes your pick just wasn't up to snuff, so get over it.

Here's a pat on the back and a congratulations to those mini-M&M-sized members of the Chinese gymnastics team. We're happy your names (and ages) have finally been cleared.
