The Florida gymnastics team released its 2022 schedule Tuesday, which features key matchups at home against Louisiana State, Oklahoma and Alabama.

The team’s first meet in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center begins on Jan. 7, with Florida hosting three teams: Northern Illinois, Rutgers and Texas Woman’s University.

The Gators then meet the Crimson Tide, the reigning Southeastern Conference champions, on Jan. 14. This meet, along with a bout against the Tigers the following month, will give Florida the opportunity to see how it stacks up against elite competition before the postseason.

The team ends the month of January with a meet versus Arkansas on Jan. 28. This match also marks the 16th Annual Gators Link to Pink meet, an SEC initiative to raise breast cancer awareness.

The home schedule concludes with a pair of duels against LSU on Feb. 11 and Oklahoma on Feb. 25. Both teams were among the eight that advanced to the 2021 NCAA Championships, with Oklahoma finishing second and LSU sixth.

The Gators last national championship came in 2015, their third title in program history. Soon after winter break ends, their pursuit for a fourth NCAA championship begins..

The season gets started on Jan. 7 in a tri-meet versus the Huskies, Scarlet Knights and Pioneers at 6:45 p.m. in the O’Dome.
