A UF student was attacked Saturday just after midnight near Century Tower, according to University Police.
The student, whose name was not available, told police she was walking between 12:10 a.m. and 12:40 a.m. when a man came from behind, grabbed her head and pushed her to the ground, UPD Detective Keith Smith said.
She told police she kicked the man in the groin and ran through the Plaza of Americas toward Southwest 23rd Street, Smith said.
The situation is still being investigated, Smith said. Meanwhile, police are increasing patrols on campus.
