He does not have a car, but he won free eco-friendly fuel for a year.
Josh Nicdao, UF athletic training junior, received a phone call last week telling him he had won the free fuel contest sponsored by the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council as a part of the 2008 Fox TailGate Tour.
Nicdao, who said he has never won a contest before, decided to enter the contest with his friends during the UF-LSU game in October to get a free T-shirt.
Nicdao said he is not sure what he is going to do with his $1,000 check, but he does recognize the importance of the contest and its ethanol-enriched fuel.
"I guess it's like an easy way to let everybody know how important the environment is and how endangered it is," Nicdao said.
