In order to meet its daily demands, the Independent Florida Alligator will hold its second open house of the semester today from 2 to 5 p.m.
Section editors will conduct on-the-spot interviews to fill open positions, which include opinions editor, multimedia stringers, bloggers, copy editors, reporters and photographers. The open house is open to UF and Santa Fe College students of all majors.
Students are encouraged to bring any clips, resumes and story ideas they have.
"Most importantly, we need to hire an opinions editor," Managing Editor / Print Brian Kelley said. "I am not witty."
Editors have also had trouble assigning stories.
"It would really be nice if stringers called us back," Metro Editor Emily Fuggetta said.
The Alligator is located at 1105 W University Ave.
