Police arrested a Gainesville woman Tuesday for helping a former UF Transportation and Parking Services employee with cashing fraudulent checks.

On March 13, University Police arrested Tiffany Robinson for issuing more than 1,000 unauthorized checks worth $8,401.75.

According to a UPD report, Robinson created 33 different fraudulent accounts and issued checks for returned parking decals and disputed parking citations that were overdue.

Police determined that Gainesville resident Shabree Harden traveled with Robinson and another individual — 34-year-old Herschel Walker — to deposit the fraudulent checks, according to the report.

Harden, 31, cashed 23 of the checks, totaling $7,015.75, at locations including the Rose Food Store, a Chevron Stop and Shop in Hawthorne and three Gainesville Publix stores, according to the report.

According to the report, Harden admitted to receiving and cashing checks from Robinson and Walker and to giving all the money back to them.

Harden remains in the Alachua County Jail as of press time in lieu of a $15,000 bond. She faces charges of grand theft and fraud. Robinson and Walker also remain in the jail as of press time and are being held on no bond.
