Law enforcement is looking for a man who they say sexually battered a person at gunpoint in September.

The incident is believed to have happened some time between 1 a.m.and just before 3 a.m. Sept. 24 on the 100 block of Southeast 15th Street, according to a Gainesville Police Department release. The man is said to have used a handgun to threaten the victim.

This isn’t the first person wanted for sexual violence in recent weeks. Last month, GPD said they were looking for a different man accused of raping a woman in the Midtown area in August. Multiple occurrences of sexual battery were reported to University police earlier this year, including a man wanted for raping a woman prior to the homecoming game Oct. 5.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of this man can call 352-393-7670 or 352-372-STOP.
