Rumor: Next trio of "Reach" maps revealed

The next round of “Halo: Reach” multiplayer

maps may have been leaked.

According to French “Halo” fansite

"http://www.halodestiny.net/maintenance.php">HaloDestiny

, the

next map pack will be named the “Defiant Map Pack.” The DLC will

contain three maps: 

Condemned, a four- to 12-player map; Highlands, an eight- to

16-player map; and Unearthed, a Firefight map.

The website posted pictures of the maps, which

can be found at this

. The

Flickr account has Highlands labeled as “Training Preserve,” so the

actual name of the map is unclear.

From the photos, it appears Unearthed is an

open battlefield Firefight map akin to Lost Platoon from "Halo 3:

ODST." Highlands reminds me of the

from "Halo," albeit with a massive Covenant cruiser

glassing the planet. Reportedly, Condemned takes place inside

a

The validity of this information is

questionable, but Bungie and Microsoft have asked HaloDestiny to

remove the post.  The site

is temporarily down at the time of this report.
