When Democrats voted Jan. 29 in Florida's primary, they did so with hopes that while their candidate might not get their delegates in the end, it would be a public show of support and expression of their political opinion.
But regrettably, many decided not to vote because they believed their party when it said that the state's primary would not influence the election.
As a result, at a time when Sen. Hillary Clinton was considered the likely Democratic candidate, she won the "beauty contest" that pundits deemed Florida's primary.
If delegates are to be seated, they should not be rationed according to this farce of an election.
Without any form of a revote, the delegates should either be split equally between the candidates or not seated until after the nominee is already chosen.
