Gainesville Police arrested two men and one woman early Monday for reportedly using and cooking crystal meth.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, officers went to Sundowne Villas, located at 3600 Windmeadows Blvd., for a follow-up on a previous methamphetamine investigation, according to a police report. Upon arrival, officers said they could smell ammonia and saw a box fan ventilating a front window.

Officers suspected it was a meth lab and as they called for backup, Heath Williams, 25, walked out of the apartment and told officers crystal meth was being cooked inside, according to the report. He was also in possession of crystal meth and reportedly high on the drug.

Police went inside the apartment where they saw Sean Nixon, 27, cooking meth and Denise Tyree, 38, lying on her bed, according to the report. Nixon and Tyree were also under the influence of the drug.

At about 1 a.m., Gainesville Police arrested Williams, Nixon and Tyree on drug related charges.

All three were taken to the Alachua County Jail where Williams and Nixon remained as of press time in lieu of  $150,000 bonds.

Tyree remained as of press time in lieu of a $175,000 bond. The additional $25,000 was tacked on because the events took place in her apartment.
