Since the third and final Presidential Debate occurred in Boca Raton last night, young people in Florida are wondering, “What about climate change?”
On the subject of climate change and clean energy, we’ve heard only silence from President Obama and Gov. Romney.
With new information just released on sea levels rising and threatening Florida’s economy (billions of dollars on expenditures to mitigate its effects) and Florida’s communities, climate change is a top issue for Florida voters.
I am a young voter from Gainesville, and over the last few weeks, thousands of young people from Florida and across the country have been taking action to break the silence on climate change this election season.
Not only have we been engaging thousands of young voters and getting them out to vote, but we will continue to demand that the candidates address climate change and promote clean energy solutions.
Last night, young voters from Power Vote at UF were at the Presidential Debate in Boca Raton to deliver our demands to President Obama and Gov. Romney, to demand action on climate change now.
