A great deal of Alligator articles and editorials recently have focused exclusively on Ron Paul, whereas there have been zero articles about any other candidates. An editorial Wednesday reported that 34 percent of Republican students on Facebook support Paul.
I wonder why the Alligator chose to overlook the fact that in that same poll, Barack Obama boasts support from 58 percent of Facebook Democrats. It's no secret there are more liberal college students than conservative ones.
In fact, 70 percent of the students whoresponded to the poll identified themselves as Democrats. Therefore, the support for Obama more than quadruples the support for Paul. So, why are college students head over heels for Paul?
The truth is, the majority of them are not. If anything, the majority of college students are head over heels for Obama. Perhaps the Alligator should be more diligent in its reporting.
