The Gator lacrosse team welcomed attacker Madison Rielly as a transfer from Maryland Thursday.
The defender saw action in one game during the 2021 season across her three-year tenure at Maryland.
The rising redshirt junior joins teammate Catherine Flaherty, another fellow Terrapin who signed on to join Florida Wednesday.
Prior to college, Rielly claimed the No. 21 spot in the 2018 recruiting class. The New York native played club lacrosse for the same club as Flaherty, the Yellow Jackets, and gathered several accolades such as spots on the NCGLCA All-County and Under Armour All-American All-Tournament teams.
In her senior season at Manhasset High School, she won the New York State Championship. The Under Armour All-American is the daughter of Stephen Rielly, who played collegiate lacrosse at Hofstra.
Rielly and Flaherty join seven other newcomers for the 2022 campaign who signed with UF in the fall.
