Bite Squad to offer UF students, faculty discount during finals week

A temporary discount code could give UF students and faculty one less thing to worry about during finals week.

Between April 24 and May 3, UF students, faculty and staff can use the promotion code “HAPPYFINALSUF” to remove the booking fee off their order from the on-demand food delivery service, said Liz Sniegocki, the Bite Squad spokesperson.

“The goal would be to take care of dinner for them and to take the stress out of mealtime and preparation off of their plates,” Sniegocki said.

Booking fees start at $2.99 per order but can change depending on the distance between the restaurant and the delivery location, she said.

The code is unlimited and no UF identification is needed to receive the discount. Customers will need to be in a delivery zone from Southwest 170th Street to the Gainesville Regional Airport, at 3880 NE 39th Ave., when using the promotion code, Sniegocki said.

Claire Seiler, a 21-year-old UF computer engineering junior, said the promotion is a good way for Bite Squad to distinguish itself from other food delivery services.

She said she might take advantage of the discount by ordering comfort food from Kabab House during finals week.

“It’s really good timing because during finals week very few people want to cook,” Seiler said. “They’re going to probably be in the libraries or in their dorm rooms studying as much as possible.”
