Carmen King and Christopher King brought signs to the Rally for Safe Reopening of Schools which show their opposition for a return to brick-and-mortar schools in the fall. Carmen King is a special education teacher who has worked in the Florida school system, mostly in Gainesville, for 31 years. “My students who are extremely fragile and vulnerable, with a lot of health issues,” she said. “Their families feel very pressured right now.”
