Hundreds of people gathered together to watch the celebration of a new year. The Chinese Student Association hosted the Chinese Spring Festival Gala on Sunday in the Phillips Center for Performing Center. Between 700 and 800 tickets were handed out prior to the event.

People from all backgrounds were invited to attend the free show. Hosts spoke in both English and Chinese, although the performances were primarily in Chinese. Audience members went on stage to participate in interactive games and raffles.
