On Wednesday afternoon, the Florida Gators women’s basketball team officially released its SEC schedule slate for the 2024-25 campaign. UF will play eight conference games at home and eight on the road in the back half of its upcoming season.

Opening up its SEC slate, Florida will kick off the new year with a trip to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama on Jan. 2. Three days later, the Gators will return to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center for their home conference opener against Georgia.

Other notable matchups for the Gators this coming year include a clash at home against LSU on Jan. 19, a road matchup against defending national champion South Carolina on Feb. 13 and a senior day showdown against Oklahoma on Feb. 27. Florida will conclude its regular season conference slate on the road against Texas on March 2.

Coming off a bittersweet 2023-24 season that saw them finish 16-16, the Gators are looking to break through in head coach Kelly Rae Finley’s fourth season with the program. Florida has bolstered its roster with numerous offseason acquisitions, including signing five-star recruits Liv McGill and Me’arah O’Neal.

The Gators also have multiple returning key contributors from last season’s roster, including leading scorer senior guard Aliyah Matharu, 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team honoree forward Laila Reynolds and senior center Ra Shaya Kyle.
