Billy Napier and the Florida Gators landed 2025 four-star wide receiver Naeshaun Montgomery out of West Palm Beach, Sunday, per 247Sports’ composite player rankings.
Montgomery is ranked the No. 179 player in the nation and the No. 18 wideout in the class. The commit holds up well in the state player rankings as well, being the No. 30 player in Florida.
Montgomery held over 40 offers prior to making his commitment to Florida, but committed to the Gators over LSU, Penn State and Miami.
He is the third receiver committed to the Gators this recruiting cycle. Other wideouts he’ll join in the same class at UF include five-star Vernell Brown lll, from Orlando, and four-star Joshua Moore, from Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Napier continues to hit the state of Florida hard on the recruiting trails, as the top eight recruits in the class are all in-state commits.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, the Gators 2025 recruiting class is now ranked inside the top 25. The class is ranked No. 24, moving up from No. 31. The Gators also now have a top 10 recruiting class in the SEC, coming in at No. 10.
Since Aug. 16, Florida has jumped 17 spots in the recruiting rankings after landing commitments from Montgomery and four-star cornerback Ben Hanks Jr.
The Gators begin their 2024 season Saturday as they take on No. 19 Miami at 3:30 p.m. at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
