Former Florida Gators running back Trevor Etienne announced Friday he will transfer to the University of Georgia. He entered the transfer portal Dec. 7 and has two years of eligibility remaining.
Etienne spent his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Gators and accumulated 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns during his time at UF.
During the 2023 season, Etienne rushed for 753 yards and led the team in rushing touchdowns with eight. Etienne’s most impressive performance came against LSU Nov. 11 when he scored three touchdowns against the Tigers.
With Georgia losing its two leading running backs after this season, Etienne is set to join Cash Jones and Branson Robinson in the Bulldogs’ backfield.
Despite the loss of Etienne, Jadan Baugh and Kahnen Daniels will join the Florida backfield, and Montrell Johnson Jr. could return for his senior season.
The Gators will take on the Bulldogs Nov. 2 in Jacksonville for the two teams’ annual rivalry game.
