Alida van Daalen has finished on the podium in every outdoor shot put competition as a Gator. It was no different at the LSU Invitational; she took third in the event. The freshman also secured first in the women’s discus.
Freshman Logan Montgomery threw a new personal best in shot put at the invitational, earning him bronze.
Redshirt sophomore Malcolm Clemons secured another title for Florida in the men’s long jump. Junior Claire Bryant took third in the women’s event.
Redshirt junior Jasmine Moore took bronze in women’s triple jump with a distance of 13.77 meters. Redshirt senior Corvell Todd received second in men’s high jump; he has earned silver for three straight meets.
Junior Ryan Willie produced a new outdoor personal best in the men’s 400-meter; he earned gold with the second fastest time in the country this year. Sophomore Emmanuel Bamidele took second, finishing less than a second behind Willie.
Junior Talitha Diggs earned silver in the women’s 400-meter with a time of 51.51 seconds.
Redshirt junior Vanessa Watson earned Florida another silver medal. She ran a new personal best in the women’s 800-meter.
At the East Coast Relays two more titles were earned by the Gators. Redshirt senior Gabrielle Wilkinson took first in the women's 1,500m with a time of 4:18.63 minutes. Redshirt sophomore Parker Valby claimed gold in her first 5K race of the outdoor season. Redshirt senior Cavan Wilson also took the podium when he earned third in the men's 5k race.
The Gators will compete in the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships May 11-13 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
