Television personality Barbara Corcoran will speak at UF Oct. 12.
Accent Speakers Bureau, a Student Government agency tasked with bringing speakers to the university, announced the event Tuesday on Facebook. The event, which is free to UF students, will be held in the University Auditorium at 7 p.m.
Corcoran is a businesswoman best known for her role as a “shark” on ABC’s investment TV show “Shark Tank.” She also founded the Corcoran Group, a luxury real estate and marketing firm.
This is the second Accent event for the Fall semester. Accent brought influencer Josh Richards to speak at UF last month, prompting backlash from some students who disagreed with his $60,000 price tag.
Tickets to Corcoran’s show will be available Oct. 10 through 12 starting at 10 a.m. at the Accent office, which is located on the third floor of the Reitz Union, or the University Auditorium.
