The Florida Gators announced their 2023 football schedule Tuesday evening.
Florida opens its season with a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, to face the Utes for the return leg of a home-and-home series. This is the Gators first trip to Utah and their first west coast trip since traveling to Los Angeles to play against the University of Southern California in 1983.
The out-of-conference slate also includes home games with McNeese State and Charlotte — the first ever meeting between the schools. The Gators close out the season with their annual rivalry bout with Florida State in Gainesville.
UF opens conference play at home against Tennessee Sept. 19. Alongside the biannual trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to face Louisiana State, Florida will also host the Arkansas Razorbacks in a cross-division matchup. It’s the fourth time the Gators will welcome the Razorbacks to the Swamp and first time the schools have met since 2020.
Florida will face three consecutive divisional opponents in the lead up to its showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs Oct. 28. Before battling UGA in Jacksonville, the Gators play at Kentucky, host Vanderbilt and travel to face South Carolina. UF’s bye week falls between its matchups with South Carolina and Georgia.
The Gators close out their conference schedule on the road against the Missouri Tigers Nov. 18.
