Students can cast their votes at eight polling locations, including a new law college option, in the Spring UF Student Government Elections.
The SG Elections Commission announced polling locations Tuesday. Eight locations on UF campus will be open for student voting from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23.
Voting will take place at J. Wayne Reitz Union Computer Printing Lab, Health Science Center Library, Norman Hall Educational Library, Southwest Recreation Center, Springs Library and Recreation Room, Broward Recreation Room, Levin School of Law and Heavener Room 202.
SG offered students seven polling locations in the Fall; the Levin School of Law location was added this semester.
Any student enrolled in classes is eligible to vote. They should know their UFID number and bring a Gator 1 Card or other form of photo ID to voting locations.
Students can vote for 50 senators and the Executive Cabinet in this election. Five parties are registered: The Gator Party, Change Party, Communist Party, Keg Party and Waffle House Party. Only Change Party and Gator Party have executive tickets of candidates running for Student Body president, vice president and treasurer.
Election results will be announced after voting ends on or after 9:30 p.m. Feb. 23.
