The Gators will head down to DeLand, Florida, to face the Stetson Hatters Saturday in their home opener.
The teams have not faced each other since 2014 when Florida dominated offensively in a 23-1 win.
UF defeated Kennesaw State 20-7 Wednesday. The Hatters fell under pressure from the Campbell University Fighting Camels 15-5 Feb. 20.
Attacker Grace Haus leads the Gators with 11 points. She’s recorded four assists and is tied for most goals (7) with Shannon Kavanagh, the AAC Preseason Midfielder of the Year.
With 97 goals, Haus is soon to become the 13th Gator to record 100 career goals.
Kavanagh has scored a goal in 30 straight games and has the fourth-longest streak in program history. The Smithtown, New York, native holds the record for most consecutive games with a draw control with 45.
Attacker Marina Rotella scored two goals for the Hatters versus Campbell. The senior ranked sixth in the ASUN Conference for goals during her sophomore season.
The matchup is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and will stream on Stetson’s website.
