Florida defensive back Quincy Lenton officially entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, according to Matt Zenitz, Senior SEC football reporter for AL.com.
Lenton joined the University of Florida in 2016 as a three-star recruit from Meridian, Mississippi. In his first season as a Gator, the defensive back was redshirted and, subsequently, did not appear on the field once.
As a redshirt freshman in 2017, Lenton appeared in four games for the Gators, but did not record any statistics. Lenton did not get a chance to prove himself in 2018 due to a season-ending Achilles tendon tear in fall camp before the season.
Lenton shone brightest in 2019, appearing in all 13 games as a member of the special teams unit and a reserve defensive back for the Gators. He managed to record a career-high six total tackles. Five came on special teams. He had a career-high two tackles at South Carolina last season.
The redshirt senior has not seen the field this season.
