Campus Walk Apartments, which is less than a half-mile from Norman Hall, has been the location of a stabbing and a shooting over the past six years.
In July 2014, 49-year-old Michael Dennison, a former tenant who reportedly refused to pay rent, fired five shots outside of the complex. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
A stabbing also took place near the complex in October 2019. Narayana Das Ary, 38, was arguing with the victim inside an apartment in the complex when the altercation turned violent. Ary allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.
