Gainesville Police arrested a woman Wednesday accused of knowing about a man who was sexually abusing two minors.

The children told authorities that Amber Sanchez-Xochicale, of Gainesville, knew that Criseforo Sanchez-Xochicale, of Gainesville, sexually abused them, according to a Gainesville Police arrest report. One of them, a girl between 12 to 18 years old, said Amber Sanchez-Xochicale, 34, did not protect her.

On Feb. 22, the girl told police she was sexually abused by Criseforo Sanchez-Xochicale, 34, the report said.

Amber Sanchez-Xochicale told the girl she needed to deny the sexual abuse, the report said.

On Feb. 27, the other child told authorities Criseforo Sanchez-Xochicale inappropriately touched him or her while he or she was asleep, the report said.

Amber Sanchez-Xochicale told police the children never told her about the abuse and they were lying, the report said.

She was charged with two counts of child neglect, the report said.

She remained in the Alachua County Jail Thursday in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
