UPDATE: Multiple witnesses told police that one of the suspects had a handgun, but no gun was found when the three suspects were arrested. Click here to read the updated story.

University Police arrested two men and a woman accused of an armed robbery at a UF residence hall Monday.

At 1:18 a.m., police arrested the three suspects, the tweets said. Police will be continuing the investigation.

At 12:15 a.m., University Police sent out a series of tweets about an armed robbery at Jennings Hall, at 1509 Museum Rd. They were spotted south of the residence hall running in an unknown direction.

One man was armed with a silver handgun and was wearing a red plaid shirt and jeans; the other was wearing a blue shirt and a backpack; and the woman was wearing a hot pink shirt.

The UF Alert system was last used on February 13 when two suspects robbed a Bojangles, at 3120 SW Archer Rd. One of the suspects had an AK-47. Neither suspect has been caught yet.
