A Gainesville man was accused of having 211 grams of marijuana in a U.S. Postal Service box.
On Saturday, Julius Donat, 22, of Gainesville, was sitting in the front passenger seat of a car when he was pulled over for improper lane change, according to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Deputies smelled burnt marijuana coming from the car, the report said.
Donat told deputies he had “weed” under his seat. A U.S. Postal Service box contained two sealed bags of approximately 211 grams of marijuana, the report said.
There was also a small bag found in the vehicle that contained small plastic baggies and two scales, the report said. Deputies said these were for the sale and distribution of the marijuana.
Donat said the marijuana did belong to him, but he did not know who the scale and baggies belonged to, the report said.
Donat was charged with selling marijuana and possessing marijuana, the report said. He was released from the Alachua County Jail on Saturday on a $5,000 bail.
