Gainesville residents will be able to vote for mayor, a City Commission seat and a charter amendment starting on March 9. Here's The Alligator's guide to names on your ballot.

What’s on the ballot?

Spots for mayor and District 4 commissioner will be voted on. In addition to these two positions, a charter amendment to create a city charter review commission will also be voted on.

A city charter review commission would be created and given the power to review and propose amendments every 10 years.

Early voting:

March 9-16

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

March 9-11,13,15,16

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

March 12, 14

Senior Recreation Center, 5701 NW 34th Blvd.

Supervisor of Elections Office, 515 N. Main St.

J. Wayne Reitz Union, 655 Museum Road

Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 1028 NE 14th St.

Regular voting:

Voting day is Tuesday, March 19, from 7am to 7pm. Your polling location will depend on what your address is.

What to bring with you:

All voters must have a valid ID that includes a picture and signature.
