Deputies arrested a woman Thursday who is accused of hitting a woman with a metal baseball bat on the back and almost hitting an officer with a car.
Densirate Davina Boyd, 29, of Gainesville, had two warrants for her arrest, according to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
In October, Boyd reversed a car and almost hit an officer at Gardenia Gardens Apartments, at 1727 NE 8th Ave., according to a Gainesville Police sworn complaint affidavit. She then ran into her apartment and escaped through a back window.
In April 2016, Boyd was charged with aggravated battery for hitting a woman in the back with a metal baseball bat, according to another police sworn complaint affidavit.
On Thursday at about 8:50 p.m., deputies were told Boyd was leaving the Maa and Paa Grocery Store, at 6410 SW 8th Ave., according to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Deputies found Boyd on Southwest 62nd Avenue. and told her to walk to the front of the patrol car, the report said.
When Boyd was asked what her name is, she told deputies her name was Ferneshia Perryman and gave them a wrong birthday, the report said. She gave her real name while being searched.
She was charged with resisting an officer without violence and giving deputies a false identification, the report said.
Boyd remained in the Alachua County Jail on Sunday in lieu of a $159,000 bond.
