A Gainesville man driving a motorcycle was killed in a car crash on U.S. 441 near Micanopy Sunday afternoon.
Calvin Anthony Smith, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Smith was riding his motorcycle south U.S. 441 when a woman driving a Tesla didn’t yield the right of way as they drove toward the intersection at Southeast 185th Avenue, the report said.
Smith collided into the driver's side of the car, the report said. FHP is investigating the crash as a potential traffic homicide.
