ACSO: Two men found with fake, stolen licences, credit cards

Two Orlando men were arrested Wednesday for stolen and forged drivers licenses found in their car during a traffic stop, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jimmy Lee Woodard, 33, and Andrew James Owens, 43, were pulled over Wednesday for illegally tinted windows on Interstate 75 near mile marker 373, according to the arrest report. When officers approached the car, Woodard admitted to smoking a marijuana blunt.

Police searched the car and found fake driver’s licenses, credit cards and social security cards belonging to other people, according to the report. In the center console, there was a crack pipe and marijuana blunt, police said.

When police searched Owen, they found a driver’s license, credit card and social security card belonging to someone else, according to the report.

Owens told officers he was homeless and had found the false cards four days ago, according to the report. He said he planned to return the items to their owners for a cash reward.

Woodard was arrested on charges of fraud, possession of forged IDs, possession of stolen credit cards, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended licence. Owens was arrested on charges of fraud, possession of forged IDs, possession of another person’s ID and possession of drug paraphernalia. The men were taken to the Alachua County Jail where they remain, as of press time. Woodard is being held on no bond, and Owens is being held on a $25,000 bond.
