Dontrazus Darnell Zytrevi Mack, 23, soon found himself in handcuffs after a deputy found him snoozing at about 4 a.m. in his car while it was running and in drive, according to an arrest report. There were no reported damages to the patrol car.

Mack told police he was on his way home from his cousin’s house, according to the report. His eyes were bloodshot and droopy, police said.

Even though deputies smelled alcohol on his breath, Mack told them he “was not that drunk,” police said.

Mack performed poorly on field sobriety exercises, and his blood alcohol levels were .131 and .118, according to the report.

Police arrested Mack on a charge of driving under the influence. He was taken to Alachua County Jail where he was released Monday afternoon on his own recognizance.

Mack could not be reached for comment.
