University Police arrested a UF student during Saturday’s football game after police said he had a pill in his pocket.

At about 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Marino Guzman, 21, walked into Gate 15 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, according to a police report.

An officer noticed a large bulge in both of Guzman’s front pockets, at which point he asked Guzman to empty them.

Guzman pulled out a handkerchief wrapped around a single Methylphenidate pill, which is commonly used to treat ADHD, according to the report.

Police arrested Guzman for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and took him to the Alachua County Jail, where he was released Sunday afternoon on his own recognizance.

Guzman is listed as a student in the UF directory. He could not be reached for comment as of press time.

Guzman was one of two people UPD arrested during the football game. UPD also ejected 15 people, including eight students.

Six ejections were the result of intoxication, followed by four for ticket switching, two for disorderly conduct, one for alcohol possession, one for not having a ticket and one for sitting in the wrong section.

The two arrests were listed as possession of false identification and possession of a controlled substance.
