More than 130 tables lined the walls of the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom on Thursday morning as students chatted with graduate-school admissions officers.
The UF Career Resource Center hosted its annual Graduate and Professional Schools Fair, where UF students and alumni explored grad-school options.
With admissions officers from Boston College, New York University and University of Iowa, Jasmin Robinson, CRC assistant director for recruitment services and events, said students had a large variety of graduate programs to choose from.
"Schools really run the gamut as far as programs available," Robinson said.
West Virginia University College of Law assistant director of admissions Alice Foley ate a Starbucks scone as students trickled in.
"Most schools start taking applications in the Fall, so this is a great time for us to start making those connections with students," Foley said.
She said WVU Law receives a lot of applications from UF students.
UF Master of Business Administration assistant director of admissions Christine Plumley said being at the fair was important.
"We always have a lot of returning Gators who are interested in becoming a ‘double Gator,’" she said.
UF finance sophomore Friday Ezenwa said he attended the fair to explore his grad-school options.
The 19-year-old said he loves fashion and wants to network with business programs that will help him succeed.
"There’s good names here, so I’m just exploring my options right now," he said.
