Lauren Haeger continues to pile on the awards.
Haeger was named the 2014-15 Roy F. Kramer Southeastern Conference Female Athlete of the Year, the league announced on Thursday.
This is the fourth major award Haeger has captured this year. The Peoria, Arizona native, was the first Florida softball player to win the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year in May. She was also named the Most Outstanding Player in the Women’s College World Series after leading the team to its second consecutive national title. Along with those accolades, Haeger was also named the 2015 SEC Pitcher of the Year.
Haeger hit .348 on the season with 19 home runs and 71 RBIs and she was dominating in the circle as she went 32-2 with a 1.23 ERA with 25 complete games.
This is the second consecutive year that a female softball athlete from Florida has won the award after pitcher Hannah Rogers captured the award after her stellar run in the postseason.
Haeger joins Rogers, Tracy Caulkins, Dara Torres and Nicole Haislett as female athletes from Florida to win the SEC Female Athlete of the Year Award.
Lauren Haeger pitches during Florida's 14-10 loss to LSU on Mar. 14 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
