Southwest 13th Street at Museum Road was closed for about an hour Monday morning after a UF student on a scooter collided with a truck.

Shortly after 6 a.m., Gabriella Leona Molden, a 22-year-old UF student, was driving her scooter southbound on Southwest 13th Street near Museum Road, Gainesville Police spokesman Officer Ben Tobias wrote in an email.

A UF truck being driven by Maria Isabel Zamora Re, 27, turned left at Museum Road on a flashing yellow light in front of Molden, causing Molden’s scooter to hit the front right and windshield of the truck.

Molden remains as of press time in serious but stable condition.

There are no reports on the condition of the truck driver.
