The Gators wrapped up Monday’s second round at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in the same position they were in on Sunday – fifth place.

However, instead of having sole possession, the Gators are in a tie with Oklahoma State, 19 strokes behind first-place Baylor.

One factor that challenged Florida on Monday was the conditions they played in.

But despite the inclement weather, the team managed to keep their heads on their shoulders, which pleased coach Emily Glaser.

"The golf course played very difficult today, but I thought we hung in there pretty well," Glaser said in a release.

"Overall they were pretty patient and that was the big test today with the wind blowing the way it was."

Much like she did in the first round, freshman and Gainesville native Taylor Tomlinson was a major catalyst for the Gators.

Her two-over-par performance from Monday moves her score to +3 for the tournament, putting her in a tie for 15th place.

Meanwhile, junior Ursa Orehek, who is competing as an individual, improved on her seven-over par performance from Sunday, shooting two-over par in the second round. She is in a tie for 35th place.

The Gators will look to better their standings as the tournament wraps up Tuesday.
