Things are starting to drastically heat up on Florida’s recruiting trail with National Signing Day just two days away.
Florida’s 2015 class earned its 14th verbal commitment as safety Kylan Johnson (6-foot-3, 202 pounds, Dallas, Skyline High) announced that he was verbally committed to Florida early Monday evening. He had previously committed to play at Kansas State, where he verbally committed to last Thursday.
Johnson’s commitment came following his official visit to campus over the weekend. He was offered a scholarship by Florida’s coaching staff on Friday.
Johnson as listed as an athlete/safety on rivals.com, but will likely land at safety at UF. The current safety corps is highlighted by junior Keanu Neal, redshirt sophomores Marcell Harris and Nick Washington, and true sophomore Duke Dawson. Marcus Maye also returns as a redshirt junior for 2015.
Stay tuned with AlligatorSports.org on Monday evening as four-star running back Jordan Scarlett (5-foot-11, 205 pounds, Fort Lauderdale Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas High) will be choosing between Florida, Florida State and Miami.
