Chris Williamson (6-foot-0, 185 pounds, Gainesville, Ga., Gainesville High), a four-star cornerback announced his commitment to Florida on Monday evening.

Williamson, the No. 36 ranked corner in the country per Rivals.com, picked UF over Cal Berkley, North Carolina and Michigan. He visited Florida this past weekend and also visited Michigan and North Carolina during January.

During his senior season at Gainesville (Georgia) High he recorded 50 total tackles and three interceptions.

Williamson will join a deep roster of cornerbacks including All-American Vernon Hargreaves III, nickelback and corner Brian Poole, All-Southeastern Conference freshman Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson.
